Happy summer to one and all, with our competitions now in full swing and knockouts into their second and third stages the matches are coming up thick and fast.
With the course works now a new normal for us all, every day we see a new vista on the course, all extremely exciting. It is time for a bit of celebration, you will see my page now includes some events that we have planned to have some fun amongst the fierce competition of the monthly competitions and board events.
We have more events planned during the year so watch this space and the Golf Genius fixtures pages.
I am pleased also to announce that you are now able to challenge your Captain and Professional to a Fourball Betterball Match. Please liaise with Phil to book into the available dates. We have an exciting format that will the best pair will qualify to join Phil and myself at a prime venue next spring (See the Captain/Pro page for more details).
I would like to thank the committee for their continued support and to the various match and roll up organisers who do a fantastic job. For those that still wish to represent the club, go to Golf Genius and sign up and see if you will be selected, who knows you can join those elite members who can say they are unbeaten in inter-club competitions.
With regard to knockout tournaments please can I encourage you all to organise your knockout matches well in advance of the closing dates to avoid missing the dates and perhaps having to toss a coin to decide a match.
